Lou Ann Wyer, MS, MT(ASCP), CQA(ASQ)
Lou Ann Wyer is a Director for Sentara Laboratory Services. She directs a team of 200 at Sentara Healthcare in Virginia. She previously held the position as Clinical Specialist for the Point-of-Care Testing program for Sentara.
A native New Yorker, Lou Ann received her B.S. in Clinical Sciences and M.S. in Health Systems Administration, Executive Leader Program, from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). She is the recipient of the 2007 RIT Excellence in Health Award.
Lou Ann is an active member of AACC, CLMA, VAPOCC, CLSI and ASQ serving on numerous committees and projects. Lou Ann was the recipient of the 2001 AACC POCT Coordinator of the Year award. She received a CLSI Leadership and Service Award in 2011 and the 2014 CLSI Excellence in Standards Development award. She has served as a consultant for the POCT industry, writing for journals and textbooks, and has presented around the world on the topic of POCT.

Beverly Eye, RN, BSN
Bev has been in healthcare for over 30 years functioning in a variety of roles, predominately at Sentara RMH Medical Center (SRMH). She began her career as a staff nurse and within a few years transitioned into a staff development and training role. One of her major accomplishments has been developing the SRMH Preceptor Program and serving as the program site administrator. The Preceptor Program has been associated with employee satisfaction and high retention rates.
Bev also led the Rewards and Recognition Team at SRMH for over 10 years and facilitated training and development of many recognition tools, processes, and events. She also has experience providing learning activities related to customer service, adult learning, coaching, conflict, employee recognition and engagement.
When it comes to teambuilding, Bev is a sought after presenter, mentor, coach, team leader, and intervention specialist. As a presenter/facilitator she inspires an environment of comfort, fun, interaction, and personal reflection that leads to an optimal learning experience for participants.
Currently Bev is an Organization Development Specialist at the Sentara Leadership Institute with responsibilities focusing on Nurse Leader development for the system.
